Girls 3×3 Tournament Her World, Her Rules

We recently supported Padgate Basketball Club in hosting a Girls 3×3 basketball tournament at Culcheth High School. It formed part of FIBA’s Her World, Her Rules campaign, which focuses on creating more opportunities for girls to get involved in the game. The day was more than just a competition. It was a genuine celebration of girls’ basketball.
Teams travelled from across the Northwest to take part. Some players were familiar with the 3×3 format, while others were experiencing it for the first time. Regardless of background, every team brought energy, enthusiasm and a real love for the game. Matches were fast, competitive and full of impressive skill and teamwork.
From the first tip-off to the final whistle, the courts were alive with activity. The event was well run, with an experienced compere helping to keep everything on track and the crowd engaged. Music played throughout the day and the support from friends, families and coaches created a brilliant atmosphere.
A platform for girls to play and be seen
Every participant received a Her World, Her Rules T-shirt and certificate to mark the occasion. Thanks to one of our sponsors, Nike gift cards were awarded to the winners in each age group.
But more than the prizes or the final results, the tournament was about giving girls a platform. A place to play with confidence, be recognised and feel part of something bigger.
We’re proud to have supported this event and would like to thank everyone who made it possible. The players, coaches, referees, volunteers and families all played a part in making the day a success.
We will continue to build on this momentum and do everything we can to create more opportunities for girls to play, compete and grow through basketball.
